Memory Bank is a journaling app created by William McKee. This page explains how Memory Bank users can delete their account and associated data, or request deletion of specific data without deleting their account.
You can delete your Memory Bank account directly in the app:
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing bpmckee3@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Memory Bank account. Include "Memory Bank account deletion request" in the subject line.
If you used Apple Sign In with a private relay email address, send the request from that relay address when possible or include enough information for us to verify that the account belongs to you.
When your account is deleted, Memory Bank deletes your account record and user-owned app data from active systems, including:
Memory Bank may retain limited records only when necessary for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, support, dispute resolution, enforcing terms, or protecting the service. Backup copies and service logs may persist for up to 90 days before they are deleted through routine rotation.
Memory Bank may also keep non-user-specific provider cache data, aggregated operational data, or records that no longer identify a specific user.
You can delete some data without deleting your Memory Bank account by deleting individual journals, entries, moments/details, media, saved locations, and visits in the app where those controls are available.
You can also request deletion of specific Memory Bank data by emailing bpmckee3@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. Include what you want deleted and enough detail for us to find the relevant data.
In-app account deletion starts immediately after you confirm deletion. Email deletion requests are reviewed and processed after account ownership is verified, generally within 30 days.
